Brighton boss Roberto de Zerbi was delighted with his players after their 5-2 FA Cup win at Sheffield United.

Joao Pedro struck a hat-trick, with Danny Welbeck and Facundo Buonanotte also scoring.

De Zerbi said: "Today we scored five goals and we are happy for it but in the same way we are sad for the two goals we conceded. We can improve in the situation we conceded the goals because we deserved to win without the moments in the first half. We were playing very well, we didn't suffer nothing in the first half, it's not fair at half time and we have to improve work better and work harder."

On Buonanotte, he said: "He's a great young player. He's improving a lot, he's working very hard. He's a good guy, very smart and I think he's a potentially important player for Brighton."

On Joao Pedro, he added: "I'm happy to work with him, we are very proud to play with Joao Pedro with us in our team. I think he can play better than the performance today but anyway he is improving, he is working very well, very hard."
